Steamed fish with Northeastern Thai-style herbs, served with steamed vegetables, is a satisfying and healthy dish that is known to be good for digestion when consumed.
Ingredients
800 g tilapia
2 kaffir lime leaves
1 stalk lemongrass
3 cloves garlic
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar

Prepare
Kaffir lime leaves, tear the rib from the leaves.
lemongrass, cut into small pieces.
A whole fish, cut into 4-5 pieces.
Vegetables, cut into small pieces and wash.

Use a mortar and pestle to pound lemongrass, garlic and kaffir lime leaves thoroughly. Then scoop it out of the mortar and place it on top of the fish bowl.
Add light soy sauce, salt and sugar, use your hands to mix everything together. Then marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Place the marinated fish and vegetables in the steamer. Bring the water in a large pot to a boil. Place a steamer over the pot and cover. Steam over medium-high heat, for about 15 – 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Turn off the stove and transfer to a serving plate. Best served with sticky rice and Jaew Plara.
