Thai deep fried spicy meatballs!!! Made with mince pork or chicken, it’s a delicious dish full of Thai herb. The outside is a little bit crispy and the inside is juicy.
2 tbsp Thai chili powder (or as much as your liking)
1+ 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
3 tbsp lime juice
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp tempura flour
1 tbsp finely chopped spring onions (scallions)
1 tbsp finely chopped culantro
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander
2 tbsp finely chopped kaffir lime leaves
2 tbsp tiny sliced shallot
Vegetable oil for deep frying
Cucumber, herbs, lettuce and chili, to serve
Prepare
Spring onions, culantro, coriander and kaffir lime leaves, finely chopped
Shallot, tiny sliced
PREP TIME : 10 minutes
COOKING TIME : 20 minutes
YIELD : 40 pieces

Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix well and form into small bite-sized meatballs.
Fill a wok or saucepan about one-third full with oil. When the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches and cook for about 3 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Drain on a paper towel. Serve warm with cucumber, herbs, lettuce, chili.
