Fried Rice With Dark Soy Sauce

This simple yet tasty recipe for fried rice with dark soy sauce  will please everyone at your table with its vibrant flavors. It is easy to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 250 g cooked rice (preferably made the day before)

  • 2 eggs

  • 100 g pork

  • A handful of Chinese kale

  • 1/2 medium-sized tomato

  • 1/2 medium-sized onion

  • 2 cloves garlic 

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 Tbsp light soy sauce  (for stir frying with pork)

  • 1 Tbsp light soy sauce ( for stir frying with cooked rice)

  • 1/2 Tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Prepare

  1. Pork, cut into small pieces

  2. Chinese kale, remove ” the skin ” from stems (optional) and dispose of the ends. Rinse and cut into equal lengths.

  3. Tomato, cut into 6-8 wedges.

  4. Onion, thinly sliced

  5. garlic, finely chopped

PREP TIME : 5minutes

COOKING TIME :  10minutes

YIELD :  1 person

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot add garlic and cook until fragrant. Then add the pieces of pork and stir fry for about 1-2 minutes or until the pieces of pork are almost done. Then add light soy sauce and stir fry until the pieces of pork are well done. 

  2. Now put two eggs in the pan and spread it evenly with the ladle and let it set for 1 minute then add cooked rice, light soy sauce, sugar, salt, and dark soy sauce and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes or until well combined. Then add onion, Chinese kale and tomato and stir for 1-2 minutes or until well combined.

  3. Transfer the rice to a serving plate and serve with Prik Nahm Pla,  and cucumber.
